A buddy of mine, sailing a 46' cat out of Panama, enroute to Hawaii, caught the tail-end of a cat-3 & shredded his mainsail foot. He's in Costa Rica, headed for Puerto Caldera, & is looking for someone to point him in the right direction for buying/doing stuff. He's more than happy to re-pay with day-sailing. He's battling cancer, but wants to get to Hawaii to spread his dad's ashes before returning his boat to 'Frisco. He'd also consider taking on crew - unpaid, food, etc. supplied - for the trip to Hawaii, as the crew he had turned out to be lacking in capability/knowledge. He can be reached on http://www.cruisersforum.com/ his username is "imagine2frolic".
