Well I have the 6HP 2 stroke on my SIB ( the 4 HP 4 st and 3.5 are not worth buying) It runs great and I am very happy as are many of the 6/12/18/25 HP owners on the Hangkai forum. Its oly the anti chinese people who dont love thes tohatsu copies

Strange isnt it how some topics are taboo on websites . No one will admit to having a Hankai . With tens of thousands sold all over the world no body got one ...I know you take the stickers off and put Yamaha or Tohatsu on.
So we have two taboos ......Hankai and Survival Camping inflatables Got thrown of RIB.net for owning these.

    BlueBell . . . _ _ _ . . . _ _ _

If you buy an outboard new, I believe the brand is almost immaterial.
It is all about the after sales service and honouring any warranty issues.
All the power to you PB for the success you've had with your Hankai!

The Hankai outboards are not a complex piece of engineering ...All the parts are available as Tohatsu or on Ali express / Just as I would never take my car to a main dealer I would not need service. The only problems I have heard about are minor or the owners are idiots/technically incompetent

Hangkai or others chinese brands . Quality of the parts is questionable . Do you know Yam , Suz or Toh parts precision. Chinese brands have improve couple of designs by simplifying it but I don't belive in its
parts quality . They will never made Yam or Suz 30 3 carb/pistons autolube .
