    NAPA

NAPA is one of the high end naval architecture packages and is widely used in northern Europe. It has extremely strong analysis features, particularly hydrostaics and stability, however it's hull design module is fairly old fashioned compared to programs such as Maxsurf and Fastship. NAPA's hull design is based on large numbers of bicubic patches and is more of a system for fairing existing lines than a system for doing initial hull design.

NAPA is also one of the most expensive systems on the market which tends to restrict it to the larger shipyards and consultancies.
