Hi there , can anyone steer me to a site where I can get info on a Lister 40hp 4cyl diesel engine [number 60/29035 spec 38/4/32 rpm1200 ]I've just procured.
I mainly would like the specs for it.
    I've learnt tonight - surfing - that the" 38/4/32" means 38hp @ 1000rpm , 4cyl, & 32hp @ 850rpm .
I'm thinking to put it in a 15.2m steel yacht I'm building - it's bloody heavy, 1.5 ton, but it'd be low & save on ballast cost !.
I only have enough room to swing a 24" prop also, so I need to know the tourque rating for this engine to begin to calculate the pitch -- I'm thinking it'll be direct drive, it has a 3 to 1 reduction on the g/b now, but that was to swing a much larger prop.

    Any thoughts or comments ?
