    Billions of ants could produce a significant force but the distance moved would be small, so the useful work produced will be limited. The rotation of the propeller will be barely noticeable, so you would need to gear up to increase the RPM.

    Do ants float or are they standing on the surface tension of the water?

    I don't know but I do know you cant microwave them,- they just carry on walking about,----- weird.

    Crazy ants are already geared up. They move as though they had ingested superfluous amounts of caffeine. They seem tense on the surface but deep down they are quite calm.
