    looking for free software to design a tug thanks.

    It is possible that you will find some free software that allows you to work in some of the facets or phases in which a design can be divided but I believe that you will not find anything free for the entire design. All CAD / CAM programs provide a trial period of about 30 days during which the user can use them for free. If you can cut your learning and design time a lot, you could take advantage of that opportunity. But I don't see it possible for a design like yours, a tugboat, which is quite complicated. In any case, to focus the subject, it would be good for you to specify which are the stages that, according to you, a design consists of.

    But it is almost impossible to find out in this short time period it this software good enough for you or not.
