All is well. I'm just spoiled to modern conveniences such as air conditioning.

Unless some of it gets flooded with salt water it should be fine. Even if it lays over those new combines they have picks it right up with no issues.

Mais' weh'! Now to clean up the branches and leaves. We lost electricity last night, it came back on about an hour ago. All is well so far.

Good you got your power back.
I see you're a good hike from the Gulf. Flood waters your location?

The bayou side does. The bayou Teche is just maybe 1000 feet from us to the east southeast. The man at the beginning of Eastwood Drive gets water in his yard. It wasn't like that when I was younger. There used to be a lot of traffic on the bayou. Now there's almost none. It's slowly filling in. If my house were to flood all of franklin would be underwater.

Where the gulf actually starts (federal waters) is about 12 miles from me I guess. East cote blanche and west cote blanche bays tie into it.

Okay if you say so. I already looked at Franklin sat image. Elevation 10 feet.
My house sits 5 feet above high tide here on the eastern Gulf. Half mile from land's end.

Honestly, what will someone do with my address? Where my house sits, I'm 9' above sea level. At the west end of the road is where hwy 87 is. That's 11' above sea level.
