Aluminum hulls ugly?

    A fella I know, is leery of aluminium boats that get a sort of "gold" patina, let's call it yellowish, I know what he is talking about, he associates it with boats that have corrosion issues, I don't know what connection there could be, it might be more a co-incidence than a correspondence. It might be a case of something that only appears over a long period, and I guess the longer the boat is around, the more likely some issues arise.

    Thats a nice canoe but its not a grumman, Grummans are not welded.
    They used to make tons of beautiful aluminum boats, here is my feathercraft that I am restoring.
