Hatch cover trim

I am going to remove the carpet out of the cabin and install a vinyl floor in a cabin cruiser. What kind of trim can i use on the hatch covers? There are 5 hatches that need trim, about 50 lin ft. The floor is 3/4 marine ply
Taco makes stainless trim but is very expensive, about $15/ ft. That's too
much. Maybe a rubber or vinyl trim? Any sugestions?

Why not s use big box, Home Depo style .. hardware store anodized aluminium trim ?

 

Thats the last resort, A flat metal flooring trim. The hatches over the motors are 3 peices...thats 24 mitre cuts that need to be exact.

 

So you are implying that you would weld the miter joints on stainless trim ? Elegant way to do it , but expensive.

Oiled Teak framed hatches are a cheaper, simpler, elegant solution for interior work.

 

no, not welded but thats a lot of cuts...the flooring metal is aluminum with pre-drilled holes about every 8 inches.
