ranges for waterline area curve for cp 0.64-0.66

    does anyone know the ranges? coz i left my book somewhere else. and i need the ranges so i can make my waterline area curve. thanks! cp0.64-0.66

    btw, the book is merchant ship design by munro-smith

    That Cp ratio range (0.664) is for Passenger, Cargo, Fruit ships (Lindblad & Todd). The Cp of 0.64 is for the upper range of destroyers. Quite a difference. I thought you were designing for a tug whose Cp is 0.59?

    The Cwp for a 0.664 is 0.78 and the formula for a Series 60 hull is Cwp= 0.18 + 0.86 Cp. and the Area is Awp= Length x Breadth x Cp.

    There are other method for plotting the waterline area curves.

    = 0.444 + 0.520 CP Eames, small transom stern warships (2)
    = CB/(0.471 + 0.551 CB) Tankers and Bulk Carriers
    = 0.175+ 0.875 CP single screw, cruiser stern
    = 0.262 + 0.760 CP twin screw, cruiser stern
    = 0.262 + 0.810 CP twin screw, transom stern
    = CP 2/3 schneekluth 1 (17)
    = ( ½ CB/CM 1/2 )/3 schneekluth 2 (17)
    = 0.95 CP+ 0.17 (1- CP)1/3 U-forms hulls
    = (1+2CB)/3 Average hulls, Riddlesworth (2)
    = CB 1/2 – 0.025 V form hulls
