ABYC height of port lights above waterline

    Hi
    I'm rebuilding an older 80 ft motoryacht, and would like to install new portlights closer to the waterline.
    Does anyone know the ABYC rules regarding this Height?

    The current sliding window port lights are 52 inches above WL. I would like to install the new watertight port lights 6 inches closer to the W/L ... would appreciate any opinions on this one?
