    I must have bailed out before the @#$% hit the fan.

    So did you ever call around and see if anyone was looking to buy just the gears that were stolen from you.

    Might be worth the effort, might not but its pretty obvious that most thieves just aren't that bright when they come knocking on your door and ask if you want to buy back your stuff.

    In the old days that was actually common practice, but now that we're all "civilized" its doesn't go over all that well.
