dukw vehicle vee or cathedral hull

    I've been looking at amphibious vehicles lately and wondered why they all have vee hulls wouldn't a cathedral hull make more sense for a shorter nose that cuts drag across the wheels.the hydraterra uses the vee hull. could someone school me. thanks

    any more info?

    is there any more info on hull design than survivability in case of mines. turning, stability, planing, weight????
