This is a remarkable video. It shows a crow using a jar lid to sled down a roof, apparently just for the fun of it.

I remember years ago when I was hitchhiking and stuck, watching a crow fly up with walnuts and drop them onto the road. After a car went by, he'd check things out. If the car hadn't run over the walnut, he'd fly it up and drop it again.

    Great vid! Very curious..
I have experienced a similar "activity" by our Kea or snow parrot.
Denise and I were having a coffee outside at the skifield cafe & the keas were
making a nuisance of themselves.(As usual)
We were guilty of feeding this particular bird and when it started becoming aggressive
we stopped and tried to shoo it away. Damn thing threw a tantrum pecking at the table
and jumping up and down squawking . Then it grabbed Denises glove on the table
and flew up the hill nearby, jumped on the glove and slid down a few meters. It did this over and over, squawking with approval after each "run".
Had everone in stitches! Never got the glove. It would look at us with distain when we approached & fly another 50m up as soon as we got close.

Am extremely intelligent primate, the reason being that if the plum pip will come out of the smallest hole it is ok to eat.

Kind of painfull if not checked first. I guess you don't have many monkeys down your way.

Hey I once saw a monkey --- never mind.

Stange with humans, how when presented with something beautiful, the lowest common denominator soon prevails. An we philosohize about it.
Pox on all of us. May we become extinct.
