    It probably depends where you plan to mount the motors and how you intend to use them.
    Just to explain -
    A singe 120hp outboard is a lot faster and has more torque than two 60hp's. If the 120 is the main engine then you would typically use a 10 or 15hp as a limp home option. The 120 is more economical on fuel than two 60's as well.

    If you have a catamaran it would probably be better to fit two small motors if you're not in a hurry and you want semetry. LOL, with two small motors you'd have two limp home options :D
