75-110 HP Diesel shopping

    Any one have a favorite engine in the 75 to 110 HP range? I'm searching for a power plant in a light weight 38' boat. Weight and high speed are needed. Thanks

    Jack, can you maybe post a photo or drawing of the boat that you want to install this engine in?

    What sort of range will be required?
    Be aware that the percentage difference to the loaded displacement between say a relatively light Yanmar and a relatively heavy John Deere might not be a huge amount.

    JMOLAN, another question; do you want an engine with a light, heavy or continuous duty application? How many hours per year are you anticipating using the engine? I'm assuming a light weight engine is of paramount importance?
