Is there any free or affordable software which calculates scantling for an aluminium boat of LOA 14,8 m acc. to iso 12215

LR's SSC software, but not sure sure how much it costs.

Only proviso is that the software is obviously based on LR rules and below 24m. Thus being below 24m can produce some odd results. But if the vessel is Classed with LR, you can usually discuss directly with them the applicability.

Alik...what's the difference in cost between the LR and GL software...any idea?

I bought my second set of LR rules (software included) in the US some 8 years ago for USD420.

I fear that the GL or LR regulations are not going to solve a lot to YD Marine. His question, as I understand it, is how to calculate aluminum boats with ISO 12215

The difference in cost is cost of LR software minus zero.
PS Do You want to review this reply? :D

Hi TANSL. I started with your SCT software. I hope it will do at the end. Thank you very much for your support.
    Best Regards.
