She is a wood trawler that was bought back by the state to get her out of the fishing buisness. There is a lot of that going on here in Oregon as they get ready to re-write the licensesing rules.

The engine runs, the hull dosnt leak, however the owner need her gone now. She also have about 1/2 tanks of fuel.

I figure the engine and hydrolics and running gear are worth at least 8000.00 US if not more. There has to be about $1000.00 US in fuel onboard.

    No Electronics.

At any rate the owner told me get her sold, so I have listed her everywhere with the simple understanding of best offer will own her come end of next week.

    Kay9,

Thanks for the information. Much the same is happening over here.

The new cod quota, which came into force this month, has cut the allocation for boats under 10m (32ft) to 100 kg (220lb) a month.

Yea so far it volunteery here. I run 2 Salmon boats with thier own licenses. I would hate to think that they are going to force me out. But I would be willing to bet it is going to happen soon.

Seems to be the way though dosnt it Longliner...Run the little guys off then re-write the licenses so that only large factory ships can afford to fish.

    I hope you right though.
