    If the seams get too big they need to be repaired, which usually involves cutting out sections along the edge of the plank and machining a replacement edge, which gets glued in. Then the boat is caulked properly. Sikaflex 291 will work fine, but use the recommendations of your corker, he will have a favorite, probably with many reasons to back it up. Again, There are other methods to repair this construction type, but it takes a skilled person to machine the seams, if going that route.
