I will be puttingthe foil backed foam sound insulation on my engine room bulkhead soon. I planned on using 3M weatherstrip adhesive - is there a better product for gluing this stuff on?

    3M Super 77 works fine.

If you would have a choice, you would choose "Armaflex" I´m shure,
    and that is selfadhesive.

Go to the local home building supply and buy the trowellable adhesive for outdoor carpet. Put in on with a nothced trowel.

This stuff from Liquid Nails works well for that and you can get it anywhere.

The others, I am not so sure of but JImbo is spot-on from my experience. Stick it up there with some plywood applying even pressure, come back and do the next section after lunch, tape seams, enjoy a neat, clean job with no wrinkles. Screwing, or using the provided clips will be more work and not look as good with time because cleaners, oils (especially) , and sea water find a way under the tape at every wrinkle created.
