I see that you have inserted my comments about cavitation into the Sailing Anarchy forum, Randy. And have presented them as yours.

It is now on the opening page of the Sailing Anarchy website:

    http://sailinganarchy.com/2013/09/19/safety-dancespeed-kills/

    http://forums.sailinganarchy.com/index.php?showtopic=150686&page=2#entry4312534

I think it would have been much more fair if you had cited the source of your ideas.

What a bitter feeling it was, to read other's name at the signature of my idea and contribution... From now on I will think twice before posting a new idea here.

It was a low miserable act and I know how you feel, Slavi.
I was very impressed with how much work and thought you had put into a
    forum post!

I hope Randy didn't do it intentionally and that his "management" isn't guilty
of nurturing a culture of that kind of cheating because I know how he is
personally strongly opposed to that mentality. ;)

I really want and do feel that it is so, but I just couldn't help feeling an instant overwhelming sense of bitterness in discovering that stuff.

I even apologize publicly to Randy for the over-reaction, but the rush of blood into the head was too strong in that moment. Hope he will understand.

And I am also sure that the next time he will correctly cite the source of his info.

It will serve as a good lesson for everyone - at least I hope so.

    Cheers

I absolutely had no idea that anyone would take exception. None.

I did not cite this post and given the cesspool SA is I would not without permission.

I will do anything within my power to right any wrong is have done.

Please trust me that getting on the front page of SA was done without my knowledge or permission.

Putting Daiquiri's actual post up means that all the people that are/will debate with what I posted as my opinion "I think" will attack Daiquiri. He has taken credit for it on SA and I will post that yes his post confirmed my basic premise, that it was not pure design error or knee jerk reaction that is behind the wind limit.

I also asked the same questions on SA and no one responded. The first stage guesses that the wind limit change reduced force by 50% or so are weeks old.

If anyone wanted what ever credit posting in SA gets, they were free to engage at that point.

I have been hammered and insult over trying to get unemotional discussion going on this topic since the first postponement.

I sincerely apologize to you Daiquiri. I had no intention of taking credit for ideas not my own and certainly would not have quoted your work without attribution and permission.

    Sincerely
    Randy

I absolutely believe you. Let's get over it and carry on with the good discussion. You'll offer me a beer the next time you happen in Italy or in Croatia. ;)

    Cheers

I notice that all but one of the winning AC72 AC races has been won by the boat carrying the highest aspect ratio jib......

No comment from multihull designers on this forum except to say its irrelevant except for balance. Maybe it is but it seemed to give ETNZ an extra 0.2Kn yesterday... upwind. Submitted only as a very interested observer.

Hoping ETNZ continue with the jib they had yesterday and finish the job..:)

I should not be partisan but my brother lives in Christchurch; and both teams have given us absolutely fantastic sailing and racing. Hope the next cup can match it for spectacle but with cheaper boats.

Oracle ahead on the last leg 29 secs ahead of the Kiwi's. Oracle got a much better start and was faster upwind and downwind. Congratulations Team USA!!!

    ...

    Terrific win by Oracle.

I love watching these close upwind legs especially, with the super graphics.

Have to go back later and see how they pulled off that start.

I must be getting old or something... Gary Jobson is making more and more sense!
He had the best observations in that last race, the old codger.

    lol

Nice race, Oracle crew and boat looking so much better than earlier, but just one misstake and it's over. I've never watched much sailing races before but this is good stuff

Looks like it will be too windy for the pros.
Kids and amateurs have the bay all to themselves again :p
