    Imprimina,

I hope to make it down to (Core Sounder) Sylvia's birthday party with Bob Simpson at the Sanitary this Sunday and would like to to take a look at the boat. If not Sunday, I get down there fairly often. Where is your shop?

If you are planning on using lauan, fir plywood would be a better product. It is the same or less weight and has waterproof rating.

    Gonzo,

Lauan is available in waterproof glue grade if you can find it. I'd use it in preference to occoume if it were readily available. Haven't seen it in a few years.

fir is also much stronger than luan, although it is more difficult to get a nice surface with fir ply, as it tends to be a little rough and hairy.
