I extend my sincere apologies for the previous post's lack of details. Allow me to rectify that by providing a comprehensive overview of both the meticulously crafted 3D model render and the real-world prototype undergoing sea trials.
Here's an update on my latest project—a boat featuring a skiff hull with a dual-step design. Constructed with fiberglass and our modified core sandwich panel, aiming for strength without the weight. total length is 22 ft, width is 5 ft Powered by a 140 hp Yamaha Enduro engine. Grateful for any thoughts and discussions from the experienced members here, as I'm always learning and evolving in this craft.

*Quick update: In the initial 3D render, the stepped design wasn't implemented yet.

In plain water I have clocked in 32 knots, while in bay area in choppy waters clocked 28 knot. Weight is around 700 kgs more or so.

I'm curious as to why the beam is so narrow.

    Need more on the SOR.

As a fishing platform, 5' is a stealth boat, but not a good casting platform.

In Bangladesh, the rivers, small canals, and coastal areas shape the landscape. Choosing narrow boats is like picking the right tool for the job. These boats can easily slide through rivers, avoiding obstacles. In tight spots like small canals, the narrow design helps them move around smoothly. Along the coast, where the water can be tricky, the narrow boats stay steady and respond well, keeping things safe. Basically, using narrow boats in Bangladesh makes a lot of sense because it helps them navigate through all kinds of waterways more effectively. But I have to be honest I overdid it making it narrow, should have been a bit wider.

Well done, this hull would perform adequately for many situations with around an 80hp 4 stroke and be economical and quiet as well.
