1. The Marketplace Forums can be useful for members who know one another well from forum discussions and offline communications and wish to post boatbuilding tools, drafting tools, molds and tooling, and other professional equipment for sale or trade. However, caution and good judgement should always be used. Especially when considering any business with anyone not already well known to you and trusted, due diligence must be used to confirm details and identity and be sure the transaction is safe before any money or property changes hands. Always use good judgement and perform due dilligence and follow these guidelines.

English Wheel - built for custom construction of a 50ft aluminium yacht.

Top roller is powered by a 1 hp motor with worm-drive reduction via an inverter (running off 240v single-phase), with pendant forward-stop-reverse switch on 10m lead. Inverter can be adjusted to vary roller speed from very fast walking pace to a very very slow crawl for fine detailed work near plate edges.

Throat depth of over 1.1 metres. (Was built for our largest hull plate 6.1m x 2.2m)

Stands approx 2m high and weighs about 400kg. Very solid construction out of double (side-by-side) 300mm steel I-beam and bracing to increase torsional stiffness.

Top roller is 220mm diameter and 120mm wide. There are 3 different interchangable bottom wheels (100, 200, 300mm form radius).

Has rolled 5083 aluminium plates to 8mm thick without a problem.

Will also provide a free instructional DVD (by Covell) on wheeling techniques.

    See photos.

    Location: Canberra, Australia.

    Price: $2000.00 Australian dollars.
