Hello I really hope someone can help me. I have a J120TXCOS outboard motor that ran fine until I noticed that my tech wasn't working so I changed the rectifier and regulator assy. Now all it does is crank and not turn over. The boat has all new gauges, a new ignition, the carbs have been cleaned this year, and it has a new battery. I was thinking it might be the stator but don't know how to check it. I tried doing a ohm test on the two yellow wires coming out of the stator. The meter said 1700 something and then went down to all 000(s). Any ideas? Please help

    Thank you.
