back on my wood oars again, what glue to use?

    Tonite, On TV, a program (How it's made) featured a Canadian compay making wood paddles.
    They used a White looking glue, which looked for all the world like Elmers.

    What glue would you use?
    I plan to use the same glue on my Jon boat, if and when I get to that project.
    The oars are coming soon though and I need to know what glue to use soon.

    Hello, 2 part Epoxy is the only adhesive I would use in a water enviroment. this question has been answered on another forum

    If the oar is painted you have several choices, epoxy, modified aliphatic resin, plastic resin, resorcinol, urea formaldehyde and polyurethane. Each has pros and cons about them. If the work is to be brightly finished, epoxy, polyurethane, resorcinol and plastic resin may leave an objectionable glue line.
