    oil and old engines

    OMC tested engines back to early 60's with tcw-3 at 50:1
    Before that you are on your own but similar technology, 2 hp had bushed small end right up till about 1980
    6hp didnt change to mid 70's
    What is true is new oil is far superior to old oil.
    If you use Castrol biolube its biodegradable
