Is this a totally new design, or are you using an existing vessel for reference in establishing the basic dimensions and shape?
If you are using an existing vessel (or vessels) for reference, which designs are these please?
What are the dimensions of your design? What speed do you want it to achieve, and in what type of sea state will it have to maintain this speed?

Yes your beam to length ratio looks ok and chine width fine from what I can see in your low res pic. You could add more bow flare but as I don't know the application of your vessel might not be necessary or required. When you refer to deep-vee wave jumpers what is that?
Just interested to learn something new.

just a bigger version of the 26 footers i made, I will never build as the price of 600 shp is way out of my budget
the 26 footers could wave jump
any planing boats must be able to go from wave top to wave top, that means heavy plate 6mm min on the bottom And a spoonlike entry such as Bayliners often have are unable, so 42 and up station 2, 26 midships, deadrise should be 10 to 15 aft, for stability at rest and to assist getting out of the hole
    how I learned
once i took my very young kids fishin, it was calm, come time to go home the waves were 5ft, we tried going 6 mph the kids were getting smashed on the cabin roof
i opened the outboard up 30 mph, we flew from wave to wave til they , and I were larfing
That was my first real deep vee build and from then on it was a success story
I really want to build a true disp boat , weight to punch
you look at fishing trawlers from Scotland they handle constant 50 knot winds , they just trundle through it
Nah not a fan of big planing boats, just having fun dwg, in rhino and maxsurf
    Thanks for you interest eh
