12v/24v

    hi guys what r the pro and cons between a 12v system and 24v system for a 31ft sailing cat

    mainly your 31 cat, will have iddy biddy engines, where 24volt crank /charge is not offered
    BUT 24 volt beats 12 hands down, except there are no 24 vdc electronics , eg radio, pilot, you name it so you have then to have to settle for transformers,blocking diodes, tapped batt banks etc,
    so nope , short answer, stay with 12 vdc
