Im going to be getting a 12' or 14' aluminum deep v boat soon and was wondering what speed each would go with a 10 hp motor or a 20 hp motor.
I weigh 160lbs I bring around 10 pounds of gear and the 12' boat weighs approx 120lbs and the 14' approx 140lbs.

    Thanks

Lots of deep vee alum boats around here, so you can go out in the bays and large rivers in the wind. a 10 should get you to 15-18mph, a 20 maybe 20-22mph, depending on how you prop it. 2 strokes seem a bit faster than 4.
