Hi all, hope someone can help with stability calc for a 10 meter composite powerboat, my buddy has ordered it, kinda backyard job and asked for advice about the design, and my calcs dont look good so im reaching out here.
10.2 meters length, 2.06 m beam, 1 meter draft laoded, 3.5 ton loaded weight [not sure if hes included engines, which will be twin 250 yamahas or equiv.], 1.11 m waterline [loaded] from keel, 0.68m freeboard. Designed for 10 pax plus 2 crew. Yes I realise it doesnt add up, too narrow in my thinking, and getting a simple stability calc done is doing my head in so any help is greatly appreciated.
It will need to pass survey in Philippines which uses similar calcs as USCG
Cheers in advance

As I suspected, was just wondering if I missed some theory. Much appeciated,
and yes, they should have run it by a marine architect in the first place.

What are the regulations in Australia for that kind of boat? If it doesn't comply, you may not need to waste time in calculations.
