Good morning all,
I have a question and I'm pretty sure you will have the answer for it.
Besides iron and invar, which is the best material to produce a mold for autoclave (around 90psi pressure and 130ºC temperature) if I want it to last around 40 cicles?

Have a 21 feet (6.4 m x 2.5m) mold with centre console mold. Build in Sweden, hull shape same as Nimbus 22, Coronet 22 and Ryds 23 DC. Good condition.
No deck mold or stringer.
There is a casted hull in the mold for protection and that can be used for boat build.

As I...

Usually is very easy to release the flanges and front/rear but more difficult in the middle...
Hi all,
I'm in the process of building a new mold for a sea kayak (around 5.5 meters length and 56cm wide) and I would really appreciate your thoughts on the following.
I need to make the mold as light as possible but obviously to be strong enough.
I've already made the plug and polished to A...
Hi all,
I build a mold for a sea kayak a while ago but due to zero experience in laminating before, I end up with a really good product (the kayak) but a very "problematic" mold.
Let me explain a little bit about that. There are many bubbles in the mold which every 2-3 releases they popup and...
