I crew on a 1967 Islander 29. The plastic pump-out waste plate has become frozen and won't unscrew. In addition to the main port, there is another one about half the size. We suspect it may be a vent port. We are nervous about removing the plate as we don't know what we will find underneath in the way of hoses, slack (or lack thereof), and fittings. Does anyone have knowledge of this plate, what is underneath it, or how best to attack this problem? All ideas are welcome.

Take out the three screws and lift up on the plate.

It looks like a 'remove and replace' job with so much cracked plastic.
One hose for product and one for vent sounds correct. You'll need the hose ID's to order the correct fittings.
Chances are you'll need separate deck waste fill and vent fittings and to fashion a plate that looks like the existing to tidy up the installation.
