Hi to everyone! I wish to develop a software in visual basic able to calculate the hydrostatic properties of a hull. I wish also my software able to read ghs file. Browsing in the web I have not been able to find useful informations for this scope, do you have any information or source that may match my needs?

    Thank you!

GHS is actually quite an easy file format to reverse-engineer. However, I suggest you look at John MacSween's ArchimedesMB ( www.naval-architecture.co.uk ). AMB will do most hydrostatics jobs, and it will save you the time spent writing your own code.

The GHS File format is open to anyone who would like to use it for import/export. No need to reverse-engineer. Call or E-mail Creative Systems.
