No, my hair is not dyed anything, nor am I virtue signalling.

I am not projecting anything into my comments. You have repeatedly maligned the creators of existing boats for no good reason. That's a fact. You have put yourself on a far higher plane of knowledge than people who have vastly more experience in the field. That is silly.

I have known and liked many people in the leisure boating industry, who are very good at their jobs. It is perfectly reasonable to call out those who throw stupid and dishonest insults at one's friends.

My knowledge of the process of design development in sailing is actually very good. I have been lucky enough to interview or correspond with the people who invented a wide variety of designs, from windsurfing to the winged keel to the 49er skiff. They do not approach the problem with sneering insults about existing craft; they respect them and learn from them just as the Wright Brothers and other great inventors respected and learned from those who went before them rather than insulting them.

What I desire is a practical mode of personal, global transportation. That which the industry produces is mostly shiny consumerist products for the leisure, recreation, and luxury goods market. This is a fact. Continue to judge me. It doesn't really bother me.

In an earlier thread, about his planned hydrofoiling sailing submarine (!) this guy also said "Most (small) boats are weak and flimsy; crews need to call out rescue helicopters as soon as the wind picks up." He simply does not know truth from fantasy.

    Infinitus,

    Foolish, naive, ignorant, and insulting.

Sort of like your previous thread a few years ago.
Why did you abandon it, but more importantly,
    why are you back?
I'm pretty sure nobody here can help you.

    Best of luck.
And be sure to let us all know how you made out.

Oh, it's you again, continuing to defile my thread with irrelevance to what it's actually about. Well, at least you've found a nice hobby for yourself.

You literally posted specifically to insult me while claiming that I have been insulting to others. Your comments are utterly irrelevant to this thread, so why did you feel the urge to write them here? You are just a troll. You have contributed nothing with respect to the topic of this thread. I pity you, and I am sorry you feel the need to act so deplorably, you nasty person.

It might be best to close this thread at this point as it seems to be generating more annoyance than enjoyable discussion at this point.
