    To all bilinguals

My hearty congratulations to one and all of you who having two or more languages at their disposal

It is i who is disadvantaged with but one - luckly english

    Now to sea sickness

I am lucky as i have been a little off but never green
as i say to all it is still possible

My cures - a job-find something to do, a beer

Others reckon a full stomach, wrist bans, ginger (a root) sea sick medication

I understand a couple of days at sea sees most OK

Have two daughters one gets sick one does not (mother gets sick)nothing prevents the latter one tablet worked but it went off the market it put her to sleep -makes for fun sailing

Seen a few sick definitely does not look like fun

Was it the Australian tablet Trava-Calm?

TravaCalm is back on the market after changing manufacturers - after Pan Phamecuticals were found to be negligent.

It contains the anti-histamin (which causes drowsyness) but also has a nice dose of caffine to counter the drowsyness - and a stomache-calmer.

Travacalm doesn't make me drowsy like the anti-histamin tablets do.

These do not work - unfortnuately.

    What works is:

3 days at sea and I'm fine.

The cure agains seasicknes is to trow up and then eat food that is not fat or sweet.

Juice and milk is no no, Drink water and eat some dark bread and just eat again if you trow up.

In the end the body think it's suposed to be this way.

    SeaSpark -

    Vitamin C experience

I just returned from a week of cruising the Croatian coast on a rented boat with 3 crew members that were known to be sensitive to seasickness.

At the first signs of seasickness (yawning, beeing inactive) i fed them 100mg of vitamin C, under their tongue. The results were very good, all signs of a beginning seasickness disappeared. One day the conditions were a bit rough, and symptoms returned, a couple of dry crackers kept them from becoming more seasick.

No other form of medication was taken.
