Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for sure! I built a Michalak Family Skiff, and can highly recommend one of those for dinghy cruising if you do not want a lid, the cockpit benches are big enough to sleep on and keep you off a cold floor. Not being a leeboard fan, i built in an off-set daggerboard.

Loads of storage space/bouyancy, easily launched and recovered single handed. I sold it only to extend my sailing season in Sweden with a cabin boat, and settled on a modified Michalak Picara.......though that boat is currently existing as a pile of plywood sheets until my move to France is confirmed. My name is Ian, an Englishman in Sweden.

I saw this and thought of you, if you in no mood to build.

Not having a French mobile phone, i can never enquire about such things. Last year i missed out on a Miller Fifer going cheap!

Thanks, I am in west Africa at the moment, so that would be a long drive, but when I get back to France I'll get serious about looking. A boat like that would get me on the water right now, which certainly has some appeal even though I like building.
