Rudder lift on Boardless Catamarans?

    How much depends on how far aft the rig is. Over the years, Hobie 16's have raked their rigs further aft to increase the loading on the more efficient high aspect ratio rudder, as opposed to the relatively shallow hull. However, I'm sure you could reach a point where the rig was so far aft, that you would get stuck in irons every time you tacked. ;)

    Not much on the Dart 18, as you can't adjust rudder's rake to balance the helm
