I'm fascinated by design , and you folk identify, discuss and often solve issues, so fix s**t I can afford, then sail..
Newick boats have something special, altering them is probably sacrosanct, I've emailed Pat to contribute what I can afford to the legacy. Anyone know of a Summersalt that needs repair in Aus?
I'm trying to alter it enough to solo coastal hop/ cruise in open water, which it wasn't really designed for. Fibreglass Tremolino's are a delight to sail, heavy ,strong, simple and very comfortable in conditions it is designed for.

Anything Newick is pretty rare in Aus as I’m sure you know, buy one in Cali and have an adventure !

There was a 45[?] or 60k summersault in WA a few months ago, way way out of my league ,..ha

A 6.5k sold during lockdown, a really sound cheap Buccaneer I'd have to give up.

I haven't given up, still smitten with this but hankering to actually get out in the water. Everything is paid up, licence, fees etc. I read the multihull forum and anything relevant in boat design most days and check off my SOR regularly and it hasn't changed. I'm rebuilding my shed ..slowly and are grateful that my boat is fibreglass and simple and can sit out in the weather without much cause for concern. Being in a yard has cut right down on cormorant poo and worry when a storm hits compared to the mooring. The last push will be in polyester including a finish coat with pigment and [any glueing will be thickened epoxy], it's heavy but it outlasts everything, is my latest stance. I keep learning and are very grateful for the insight gained from people way more knowledgeable than me on these subjects yet share a similar passion, thanks Old multi and many others,, regards
