Help with construction elements

Hi,
I'm a naval architecture student, I'm currently struggling to understand which element is which in this drawing: imgur.com https://imgur.com/a/hhtdzff. I would appreciate if anyone could name every element in the picture for me.

 

Are you trolling these people "George" ?
Do you get paid for every site visit on you nonsense "drawing" ?

 

It is a simplified version of a tugboat that I use for FEM. I really need help.

 

Sorry if I misjudged you. Even so, how on earth can anyone describe "elements" from a bitmap image with no description of other information ?
I have had some Finite Analysis done on a project, and colourful pictures convey nothing but the size/position of the element.

 

Even in a finite element analysis of a structure, each element must have a unique identification, distinct from the other elements. The most practical thing is to identify each element by a name that corresponds to the terminology used in the discipline in question.
From this point of view it seems normal to me that the OP wants to know the designation of each element, what does not seem normal to me is that he tries to study its structure when he still does not even know the term used to designate the various elements .
(By the way, it would be convenient to refine the mesh used in the FEA of your sailboat as well as give more continuity and better support to the elements of that structure)

 

Good point, I have skipped some classes due to health issues and I struggle to identify certain elements in drawings and I cannot find anything in particular that is helpful on the internet. I am trying to mesh every layer separately, based on how thick the elements are. My request is indeed strange, I know how the analysis should work but I find it hard to identify the structural components by names.

 

If YOU cant identify the properties of the layers when you should have the FE software to hand, how the heck can distant viewers of a mere picture provide any further information ?

 

It is not about the properties of the layers, it was about the names of the structural components but I got it sorted.

 

Then you need to buy a book on ship terminology.
Every item on a vessel has a name...and if you're not familiar with them...then the best place to start, is to buy a book on ship terminology.
Just go to your library, they'll have plenty...or just do a simple internet search...there are plenty available.
