Twin centreboards?

    This is a Michalak Family Skiff i built some years back. Even though i have no issues with a single sided lee board, i wanted to try out an off-set daggerboard.

    I think the extra work, weight and drag of two board slots is a compromise on a small boat. I found the boat to perform well on either tack.

    The twin boards, non symetric and toed in, on the Red Fox 20, do have a performance advantage. I was considering the same set up, but damage to one board would cause problems, than if both were just standard NACA profile and could be swapped between cases. Depends on how you value "performance" and your definition of it.
