I finally finished my stretched Colvin Witch build some months back. Haven't launched yet, that'll probably be in September/October, but the boat is complete.

I made my own masts & sewed my own sails as well as building the hull and doing the fitout.

For anyone as unobservant as me, the website is now Mimi Jane http://mimijane.ca/ (it's in M&M's profile, but I'm a newbie and didn't notice it there until after finding it by wading through several older versions via wayback machine).

    Hi,

It's been a long time... Our project has been been delayed from our original plan (4 year build ? :) :) ), but it's still moving along. We are launching our boat May 30th, 2022, after 17 years since the keel was laid. For up to date info Murielle is posting most often on her facebook page: Dundee Mimi Jane https://www.facebook.com/DundeeMimiJane website is www.mimijane.ca

    Cheers,
    Mark

Wow! That is great news, thanks for updating. Congratulations for what Daniel so rightly called "splendid construction" all those years ago! I wish you "fair winds and following seas" for wherever you travel.

    Best wishes - Brian

    Hi,
Just another overdue update. It took time this summer, but we have most of the rigging completed and out sailing.
    Cheers,

Thanks Wynand. I'm not sure for the seven seas but the Atlantic for sure! Mimi Jane is now winterized for the next few (long) month in the icy Saint Lawrence River but her next trip will be to find the Atlantic and hopefully great travels from there.

    cheer,
    Murielle

Guys, thanks for the update, I was wondering how it all went. As Wynand says - picture perfect. Indeed the pic above should be framed and hung in a gallery alongside works of the Old Masters. Ok, ok, I know you guys are not old but that's where a pic of your masterpiece should be!

PS: It might be nice if the Moderator could refresh the 'email update' for your post. It could bring back all kinds of folks who were 'on board' with you at the beginning, but have drifted away. I only stumbled across you latest post today.

You should get an email update if there is a reply in a thread that you have replied in (or clicked "watch" on the top right) depending on your setting at https://www.boatdesign.net/account/preferences (but we don't send any other mass email update at the current time.) (check spam folders if not received, and if they got incorrectly routed there, mark as not-spam please to receive future updates.)
    P.S. looks fantastic!
