Is Levi Drives still in business?

Unfortunately the tale of woe in corrupt Malaysia is from 2013. So the current status of @xrudi and levi drive remains a mystery.

Coincidentally, his last day on the forum was my first day.

@Barry , the bateau.com tx-18 study plans compares and contrasts the sled, catamaran and flat bottom forms. As you say, flat bottom is the sholest, and incapable of handling any chop at all.

That's not necessary, the pop-up chat is just set up in the background of the system to facilitate communication. I just recommend a new option. If there is no problem, you can ignore those chat messages. You can still find various information on the website. Hope it helps you at some point.

Not a bad website if you want to enter all your personal data and buy the web domain, a bit of a let down if you want to find a surface drive.

Same location as Levi Drive and the same looking product. Might be worth sending them a message to see if there is any relation.

 

www.levidrives.com is Rudi's website in Germany.
I contacted him in february 2021 via the contact form on the site and we exchanged a few short emails.

 

I still haven't heard back from them. Still no changes since 2019.

 

This surface pivotal drive runabout on You Tube attached is similar to what I am about to manufacture with a slight change to simplify it further and add to the amphibious Myark high performance catamaran 4.8 x 2.4 hull that has an identical back bottom end design to the Myark Folding trailer barges and the Myark self-trailer landing crafts; also another example is similar to my late friend Brian Jackson's Caracat back bottom end that is since the 1960s proven over 30% extra performance that of any similar HP marine motors .
Because the Myark Cat hull is so efficient with its unique back-end design assisted by the surface pivotal drive, this allows the Myark craft to use an electric motor purchased from my factory in China, this cuts out the gear box making the Myark craft even lighter and simpler.
I am not sure what has happened to boat design member and friend Tom Kane as his pivotal drive also goes back the 1960s

 

Eco surface drives is in Malaysia, where the tale of woe occurred in 2013. In 2014 eco claimed patents on stuff that looks remarkably similar to Levi's stuff. No doubt all a complete coincidence, but a less charitable person might suspect an untoward connection.
