    @CocoonCruisers thanks for the info. I still don't see anything, in 12215-6, that allows me to calculate the window panes. It speaks of vagueness and directs the reader to other standards but does not even give the safety coefficient that must be applied. I have not read ISO 12216, perhaps it clearly states how to proceed and contemplates all cases, other than those of a superstructure, which must be studied in windows on the hull, above and below the water plane

    Yes it does, at least for the windows 50cm (Cat A) or 40cm (Cat B) above the waterline, in boats up to 24m.
    Multiple zones are defined, with slightly different requirements.
