So did you just lay the hose that is in the tank on the bottom of the tank?
With a screen or just open?

Hanging close to the bottom. No screen, just a fuel filter/water separator nearby on the bulkhead.

With an inline anti-siphon valve in the line?

No. I was able to design the system that it runs uphill from the tank to the engine.

Some progress. Love them GRK's. 300# to pull one out. Times 4. 1200#, without the epoxy holding it on the transom.

And the fuel tank cover. To be screwed down onto a fat gasket.

I must admit confusion over your last post.

What are grks and is the rigging tube heading into a splashwell? Or more to build?

If that is a well, they make a fitting for going through a BH that you can seal. Otherwise a lot of guys have fun with rigging tube leaking. I guess you don't have to use a fitting as the 2x can be sealed and doesn't flex like my hull.

    But grk?

GRK structural screws. The Cadillac of screws.

I have the fitting, but the length of rigging tube isn't finalized.

The area under the engine is a very shallow splashwell. To the left in the image there will be a simple deck so the rigging doesn't get walked on.

IMG_20220819_100358335.jpg IMG_20220819_100402906.jpg 3" GRK. Note the notched point, so it cuts in instead of wedging in. Less likely to split the wood, although I still drill a small pilot hole. There's also reverse threads close to the head to suck down the upper board or plywood or whatever. The integral washer on the head has teeth on the underside like a crown washer, and the drive is a #30 torx, not a #3 robertson, or god-help-us-all, some wretched @#$& philips abortion. Damn I hate philips screws. This screw won't corrode or break or strip out.

    A.K.A. Self-tapping.
Not reverse threads but rather coarse threads. Reverse thread would only drive attached piece away not suck it in.

So, if you get a longer leg, how much more can you raise the engine mounts without extending the transom?
Or will you simply drop the prop and leave the mounting as is?
But you need more height to allow full tilt-up, no?

Ah, you're right. Same direction, much higher pitch.

Without drilling new holes I could raise the OB an inch. 2.5cm. Another inch or two with new holes. For a big raise, it's jackplate time. More splashwell depth is needed. I can tilt up, but I have to turn the OB to port or starboard lock.

    I'm so confused still.

what are you doing with the grks?

1/2-13 engine mounting bolts have a uts of like 5500# each

oh, I see, you are using them for the cleat is all...duh

I'm curious about the volumes of these 14 chambers and which one's aren't watertight, and why.

    Found this today:

Lot of stuff inside that rigging tube, so I moved the fuel and oil lines outside. Had to drill a hole through that soft rubber block.

Adjusting exact length of cables for throttle and shift was a bit of a fuss. Just need my fish tape to get the NMEA cable and the pitot tube lines through. Should have put them through first.
