Merging 2 sets of lines in software

Is it possible to take multi sets of offsets (chine sailing dinghy) to compare the differences between the individual boats, I have Hullform and Delftship.

I have seen somewhere in the lovely web world where it showed 2 sets of lines and highlighting the differences.

The comparison you want to make is of the fully developed hull shapes. The offsets you normally get for a chine dingy are for flat cut patterns.
I don't see any easy way to get around making the fully developed hull shape.
Normally I work in the fully developed hull shape and only think of cut patterns as an output of the intersection of the conic surfaces (the chines). This is the normal design flow. What you ask is reverse engineering.
With the fully developed hull shapes you can superimpose them and make pretty pictures that still might not be meaningful if you don't apply forces correctly and have the waterline wrong.

Is there software to do it automatically? I know of none.
Most likely what you were looking at was a specifically drawn example to illustrate some specific points. Easy to do with pen and paper.

 

With the software mentioned,it may be challenging.With other 2D drafting programs and some patience it is quite possible to use different layers,and different colours for each layer to superimpose one layer on the other to see immediately what the differences are.Will either of the programs in question allow this?I'm reasonably sure LibreCAD would and I have no doubt that Autocad and Rhino will.

 

In Delftship you can add a drawing as a background image.
