She is looking very fine indeed!
Have you calculated yet where the theoretical waterline should be?
I am thinking that she will probably be trimming down at the stern a bit?
I presume that you will establish the waterline and paint with antifouling once you see where she floats on the sea trial.

    Thanks Bajansailor,

I've run all of my hydrostatics on maxsurf to make sure the trim is good and she doesn't get too out of balance. To keep her level the fuel tanks are sitting around amidships and on a zero trim she has a draft of about 370mm.
With regards to the anti-foul paint, she will live on her trailer and be launched daily, so there is none needed.

She has officially been on her first sea trial! Ver very happy with her performance so far despite the ocean not really challenging her too much on the day. 71.JPG

    Looks great!

Must be a good feeling getting her out for the first time.

You are probably still breaking in the motors, but what are the numbers looking like?

Thanks Paler, so our sea trail was quite limited as we have not installed the electronics yet so there was no reading on anything really other than revs and engine details. We managed to get her easily on the plane on one motor with four people aboard and she has oodles of power. The props we ran were 17 pitch.

Nice! I have been following this thread closely as I have a similar project on the drafting board, learning as I go. Mine started as a CT-22 by Bateau.com but I am making the beam a little wider and putting more deadrise in it. Your sponsons/demi hulls look similar except your deadrise, which seems to be in that Freeman territory around 20º +. She should slice and dice!

Glad to hear she has no problems getting on plane with a load.

If it helps, my old Kevlacat 2000 (US version 5.2) ran in the high 30´s (knots) with twin DF90 Suzuki´s on some larger pods I made, I used 19P Powertech Rev 4´s. She had some pep to her. Totally different animal though as the KC has a flat pad on the bottom. Although it always helps having some prop references from somewhat similar crafts.

Keep the pics and vids coming braddah, this stuff is fuel for my soul!

Alexander, how does she go? Have you gotten to break her in?

Beyond happy so far! She has excelled in all the trials we have run so far.

Had some fun taking the Nemesis out for her first tuna run. She runs really nice and has an extremely forgiving and soft ride, we did 120nm(222km), in one day.

Anyone seen Mr E? He was contributing here quite a bit.

As to the cat, are you willing to critique her at all or no because you want to sell the boat commercially?

Yeah I haven't heard from Mr. E in a while.

In retrospect I would have liked to fair the plug more, in the bow area where it flares out. Up close it has a few unfair spots that my OCD eye doesn't like, then another thing I won't do again is make the first boat of its kind out of a brand new mould anything but white. The blue is a lot harder to repair and shows up any imperfections very quick, we had about 4 areas that had stickups and the repair if you know where they are are clearly visible. Finishes are another thing I believe that can be worked on from the building side where the joins are, I can see them which I don't like. In the States the guys are extremely good at their finishes compared to most South African standards with a few exceptions like Two Oceans Marine, Robertson and Caine and HammerYachts etc..

But overall with the actual design there is absolutely nothing I would change in the design, I'm super happy with the boats performance.
