I propose you an upgraded version 3.0 of Gene-Hull Canoe ( / the previous version 2.4), a spreadsheet application dedicated to an early stage project of a small double-ended boat. This new version can addressed a Canoe style, a Peapod style or a Pointu style (Mediterranean traditional boat), ... for paddling, rowing or, in option, also for sailing with the definition of a sailplan, a daggerboard and a rudder.
The new version also includes a new sections shape formulation generalised and simplified, requiring a shorter list of adimensional parameters, in line with the one used for Gene-Hull Sailboat 3.2 and Gene-Hull Dinghy 3.0 posted previously.
A sheet dedicated to offsets and other geometrical data is provided, to ease a transfer toward a 3D modeler or to use directly for a building. Examples of 3D view done with Multisurf are shown.
A VPP gives the drag with speed, and a speed estimation itself in paddling or rowing conditions providing that you input a net propulsion power representative of the paddlers/rowers effort.

As usual, also here attached are the updated User guide and Examples covering a broad range of typical designs, of which input data are also in the storage sheets ready for a copy paste. The input data for the Canoe tandem example named C1 are in place in the application.

For the beginner of Gene-Hull : it is recommended to first test the influence of each adimensional parameters, without changing the geometrical data, to see and learn about the influence of each one, in conjunction with the explanations given in the User Guide.

For the more advanced user : you can take advantage of one of the examples showed in the «Examples» document, of which input data are stored in the « Hulls storage » sheet , to start a new project.

It is a free and open source speadsheet application, developed on a support itself free and widespread (Open Office Calc 4.0.1) : to open and use an ods file, you need either Open Office or Libre office on your PC, if necessary to download according to :
ODS File Extension - What is an ods file and how do I open an ods file? | OpenTheFile

By hoping this new Canoe/Peapod version 3.0 can be helpful for your early stage projects.
