The Sebastian Marie is under constant development. She has been fitted with a Geodesic engine room which rotates with the drive unit. Also, a 200 gallon hot tub is fitted to the deck. We exchanged the little Casita Camper for an adult-sized Airstream . The forward Tent now has a full sized Vulcan stove, two deep fryers, and a flat screen video. We also fitted her with a 14 KW keel cooled generator upload_2022-3-21_5-22-28.jpeg upload_2022-3-21_5-26-0.jpeg upload_2022-3-21_5-28-4.jpeg upload_2022-3-21_5-28-35.jpeg upload_2022-3-21_5-32-37.jpeg

@rfleet1066 if you click on the 'edit' button in the bottom left of the post, you should be able to remove the excess photos.

What will you be using the Sebastian Marie for? Will you be living in the bus and doing commercial catering with the tent?

Some people are more easily amused than others. You appear to have the bar set fairly high! Good work. A camo throw ring is a bit peculiar, though.:D

It has exceeded it's design purpose then, because it amuses me too.It makes a refreshing change to see a design without strong ties to commercial or performance factors.

When a designer ignores convention, there is an opportunity to snatch art from the jaws of science

You are in a unique geographic position to see the vessel in person. She is docked in New Kent.

I built this vessel twelve miles from the site of launching. It is designed to be disassembled and moved in pieces or using the lifting lugs and certified slings, picked up in one piece. I built buggies to move the hull sections. The local Sheriff's Department turned out to escort us and control traffic. It was assembled at the launch site. I fitted her hulls with phone pole cradles with carpet nailed to them, saturated with dish soap. The poles were made to extend ten feet out in the front, and held with nylon ratchet straps. Then this assembly was placed on transverse poles, as rollers. We then pushed her down the slope with an excavator. The poles in front dug into the mud as planned. The I cut the straps and with a gentle push she slid on the lubricated carpet into the water.
Be advised, when I got into this project, I knew nothing about boats. My ignorance enjoys a good heckling, so have at it fellows! This forum was instrumental as a resource and I cannot thank you all enough. The vessel now, three and a half years later has over 4500 river miles traveled, and going strong.
