This forum had been a fantastic addition to my life these last few years. Not least because of the fine gentlemen here, who are now my friends. I very much hope to welcome you all to my home some day, when this time ends.

B1506199-97BC-455D-94A4-128D37446D0E.jpeg You gotta order all that ahead of time. Fills are usually turned on 90s to reduce clearances, but not an absolute if you are gonna fill off a full transom height bulkhead. Gauge senders are all sorts of different things..

The supply lines need fuel filters, too. And there is a shutoff valve ahead of the filters. All of this takes space that you don't show. Sorry. Don't hate me. I suppose you could put the filters outside, but it is kind of gag me.

Wish I could help you more. I still think you ought to consider making an outside bench/step and then even the filter has a home and the tanks can be bigger.

My filters are mounted under the transom steps, you can see two bolts that are posts for the filter; lotsa stuff in there...batteries, fuse panels, remote switches, acr, dc-dc 12/24 charger, actuator, engine harness routings...lots to consider. The black hose gets moved to the back...messy now; on hold due to 10F

you can see how handy it is though to have a place
For rigging tube..and for shift, throttle, steering stuff...

Maybe you have all these routings planned, forgive me if so, but there is just a lot going on and running it through the sole is gonna get a little painful for you; especially fuel lines to filters, etc

So this is my current thinking about tanks. Compare this image with the last one, of the tank mock-up in it's spot. I'd like to get the tanks in a sealed location under the sole, so that water doesn't get at them, but the requirement for being able to directly access the penetrations had me stymied for a bit. But how about this? What am I forgetting? And how big should that turret be to comfortably handle filler, vent, sender, and fuel line? Assuming it's not a classic DC bad idea? @fallguy , nothing goes through the sole, other than the turret. Take another look at the picture.
Nothing to suggest I won't build a box with a lid over the turret (?), BB called it a riser. I probably won't have senders, so that simplifies things.

So, where are your steering cables or hoses getting routed?

20220101_170828.jpg Down the hull side above the sole, and turn the corner under the tiny side deck.

@Boat Design Net Moderator , Ive hijacked my own thread. Could we calf-off everything from #1929 onwards, and start a new thread about Bayliner 175 cracked engine block?

I would only prime that John; as long as you can get it out of the sea later.
